Bartender resume

How to write a good bartender resume , bartending cover letters and world-class bartending interviews. When you are searching for a bartending job it is necessary to have a bartender resume. This is true above all if you don't have any experience bartending. You have to write a resume, geared specifically to bartending job that will prove how your previous experiences can relate to bartending.

Many bar owners are tired of hiring well experienced bartenders because they all have bad behaviour and some even have bad attitude. As a manager, I would much prefer to hire someone inexperienced but with a great attitude. Bartending can be taught easily, it is not that much difficult thing. Attitude can not be taught by any one. Your bartending resume wants to show the potential employer that you have an exceptional attitude and that you understand how to be an admirable employee.

If you really have bartending experience, be sure to include it on your bartender resume . But also comprise some of the lessons you learned at those jobs. Don't just roll skills like - I talked to the customers. List skills like - I used excellent upselling techniques to increase income per customer visit. These are two related activities but very different skills. One skill shows that you understand what it means to be a business and that as an employee you have the establishment interests at heart. You don’t need to talk about upselling also increases your tips. That is, however, one very excellent benefit of upselling.

If you really don't have any bartending experience you have to highlight the job skills you have that relate to bartending for your bartending resume. Make a list of 10 job skills you have. Figure out how each of these skills can be re-worded for an excellent bartending resume. Give attention to in skill sets like customer service, sales, conflict resolution, exceeding expectations, money management, etc. Think about how each of these skills will be significant in the bartending and write about them on your bartender resume.

Once you have the skill, reworded for your resume, you are prepared to get creative. Resumes for usual jobs are usually white, standard and boring. That's good when you apply for an office job and submit your resume to an important person in human resources that reads 100 resumes a day. White, standard and boring are tedious to a bartender resume. Use colored paper. Find good graphics or pictures on the internet and put them to your resume. Get creative. One of the good bartending resumes I have ever seen came to me manipulate of our establishment's letterhead. The resume writer has taken time and effort to find our logo and address information from the web and put his resume on what looked like our company letterhead. He connected himself to the company and showed he was keen to go above and beyond the call of duty.

If you can apply these ideas into your bartending resume it is only a subject of time before you are pulling in the cash from behind the stick.
